On the weekend nearest the summer solstice, the entire center of Cesky Krumlov immerses itself in celebrating the town’s medieval history. Locals and visitors dress up in costumes, enjoy jousting, a parade of knights and damsels, torch marches, and lots of food and drink. You must reserve in advance if you expect to be able to stay in town during the festival. During the festival, admission is charged for entrance into the town center.
International Music Festival
Krumlov’s International Music Festival takes place in early August and includes musicians and orchestras from around the world. Tickets and reservations vary on the performance and location.
